My thesis focused on coastal flooding, with a focus on mitigation strategies used globally, during the final year of my undergrad.
With rising global water levels due to climate change, countries with lower elevations are experiencing increasing floods and flood risks.
The thesis studies three cities worldwide and their efforts to mitigate floods and innovate through landscape design.
To further expand on the research compiled in my thesis, my year-end capstone project focused on implementing the research flood mitigation strategies for Toronto Island's increasing flooding problem. The project focused on creating a solution through ecological restoration and practical and aesthetic landscape design.
